5th Grade
Throughout the 1st quarter, 5th grade students will work on Place Value, Multiplication and Expressions, Dividing Whole Numbers and Adding and Subtraction Decimals. Fifth Grade students begin their year with whole number computation and applications, developing fluent processes to multiply and divide multi-digit numbers and solve real-world problems. Students will also model, read, write, compare add and subtract decimals to the thousandths. Multiple step word problems will also be an area of focus. Students who have their multiplication and division facts mastered will definitely be at an advantage. Please continue to practice these facts daily in an effort to master them.
